The KARDECPEDIA belongs to IDEAK - the Allan Kardec Spiritist Dissemination Institute. IDEAK is a non-profit Spiritist Association created with the aim of disseminating Spiritism to the world, according to the thoughts and works of Allan Kardec.

KARDECPEDIA is an interactive platform that facilitates the study of Allan Kardec's works, the founder of Spiritist Doctrine, or Spiritism. A term coined by him to designate the doctrine set forth in his first major work: The Spirits' Book. Spiritism was defined by Kardec as "a science that deals with the nature, origin, and destiny of spirits, as well as their relationship with the physical world."

At KARDECPEDIA, all of Kardec's works are presented in Portuguese and French. In English and Spanish, only those works that are already translated and in the public domain will be presented.

Users can interact with KARDECPEDIA by proposing new relationships between the items that make up each work, as well as by sending digital copies of Kardec's books and other books mentioned by him.
